Adopted District Ordinances, Policies, Plans & Financial Documents

The District has and periodically updates several planning documents. These documents assure that the District is current with ever changing regional, state, and federal regulations, and will have the necessary funding and infrastructure in place to meet these requirements. The District’s Sewer Master Plan provides an orderly plan for upgrades while the 2008 Sewer System Management Plan (updated in 2010, 2013 and 2020) establishes requirements for its operation. The District’s Reserve Fund Policy provides a blueprint for orderly budgeting. Annual financial statement audits and State of California financial transaction reports provide the public with transparency.

The District has four adopted Ordinances that govern operations. The first is Ordinance No. 02-01 which governs the discharge of grease from commercial kitchens. Eliminating grease at the source is one of the most important ways to avoid sewage spills. Next is Ordinance No. 20-01 which governs the sewage collection system including private laterals and issuance of sewer connection permits. The third is Ordinance No. 19-01 which regulates the collection of refuse, and the fourth, Ordinance No. 22-01, is to comply with State SB1383 concerning food waste collection.
